There are two test which are very popular for a pregnancy and they are as follows:-
* Urine based pregnancy test
* Blood test for pregnancy

Urine based pregnancy test-this is the most commonly used pregnancy test. One just needs to go to the nearest pharmacist and ask for a pregnancy test kit. This kit usually contains a control box which is very necessary. Instructions in the pregnancy test kit needs to be read properly and followed. Now this kit contains a bowl and a stick. The women needs to urinate in the bowl and then put the stick in the bowl for the time mentioned and wait for the results. This method of pregnancy test is mostly used by maximum medical stores.

There is one more type of pregnancy test kit which is used. This pregnancy test kit just has a stick and a control box is always there. The women needs to keep the stick when she is urinating and the results are out. Basically as the urine falls on the stick it detects the HCG hormone in it, which immediately gets the result. This is more hygienic and so many women use this pregnancy test.

Blood test for pregnancy -this test is said to be more safe and reliable as there is a doctor involved in this pregnancy test. The doctor checks the amount of HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) hormone in the body. Once the HCG hormone is present in the body that means that the plasma has started growing and the embryo has started attaching the uterine wall. These tests can also be done through the urine test but still to the say the blood test is more reliable. The doctors carry out many other tests following this test to see the proper growth of the baby and the vitamins and folic acid present in proper proportion to help the growth of the baby. This also helps the doctor to prescribe proper medication for the health growth of the baby.

Blood pregnancy test is usually followed by couples who have problems of infertility of eggs. They undergo a follicular study which helps the doctor to detect the reason of infertility. This pregnancy test can be done as early as seven days. Anxious couples prefer this as the HCG is detected after seven days of the egg ovulation.

Expecting mothers must always go for a regular check ups and tests which are usually lined up by doctors. Some of the tests are complete blood count (CBC) which helps to detect any abnormality or anemia. Urine test help in knowing any infection or protein deficiency or blood which are harmful for the baby. The baby must be immune so to protect it from German measles or any sexually passed diseases.
